"Stompa"
People, working every night and day
Never give yourself no time
Got too many bills to pay
Slow down, nothing’s gonna disappear
If you give yourself some room
To move to the music you hear
Gotta get up, listen to me
Clappa your hands, stompa your feet
People, looking for the great escape
Looking for the greener side
Trying to find a better way
Slow down; open up your big brown eyes
Feel the rhythm in your heart
You don’t even need to try
Gotta get up, listen to me
Clappa your hands, stompa your feet
Nothing is wrong, if you move to the beat
Clappa your hands
Stompa your feet
Stompa your feet
When you can’t seem to shake off all the feelings that are breaking
Little pieces of the music that’s in you
All the pain that you feel
I can prove it’s not real
There’s just one thing you gotta do
Gotta get up, listen to me
Clappa your hands, stompa your feet
Nothing is wrong, if you move to the beat
Clappa your hands
Stompa your feet
Stompa your feet
Stompa your feet, stompa your feet
Never give yourself no time
Got too many bills to pay
Slow down, nothing’s gonna disappear
If you give yourself some room
To move to the music you hear
Gotta get up, listen to me
Clappa your hands, stompa your feet
People, looking for the great escape
Looking for the greener side
Trying to find a better way
Slow down; open up your big brown eyes
Feel the rhythm in your heart
You don’t even need to try
Gotta get up, listen to me
Clappa your hands, stompa your feet
Nothing is wrong, if you move to the beat
Clappa your hands
Stompa your feet
Stompa your feet
When you can’t seem to shake off all the feelings that are breaking
Little pieces of the music that’s in you
All the pain that you feel
I can prove it’s not real
There’s just one thing you gotta do
Gotta get up, listen to me
Clappa your hands, stompa your feet
Nothing is wrong, if you move to the beat
Clappa your hands
Stompa your feet
Stompa your feet
Stompa your feet, stompa your feet
I think it is a great song,
ReplyDeleteI love her voice she is so good at singing!
I want the song on my iPod!
It would be so cool to meet her!
Bye
i think stompa is the perfect song! it was awesome seeing everyone rocking out at school:-)
ReplyDeleteIt's amazing that you all get together and sing like that, I can't wait to here the next song!
ReplyDeleteI think the song is cool because it makes you want to get up and move to the beat. I also found it interesting how she made up words like stompa and clappa.
ReplyDeleteI was hearing that song so often; at a community center, at the skating rink and even at home. I didn't know what the name of the song was until now! I hope it's on ITunes!
ReplyDeleteI think that something cool about the song is that it has made up words that actully fit in the song.A question about the song that I have is whats the message.
ReplyDeleteI find it interesting that she has made up words (stompa and clappa)in her song. Not alot of songs have made up words. I wonder why she put made up words?
ReplyDeleteQ:What is a question you have about the song?
ReplyDeleteA:How did they think of having two made up words and that they were going to be stompa and clappa?
Q:What is something you find intresting about the song?
A:I like the beat of the song and how at one point the beat stopped and it kind of went from an up beat song and then to a slow song.
Q:What is something you like about the song?
A:I like how she made up words in the song(stompa and clappa).
stoppa: I love making conections with songs and my life but this one I made conection with my mother's life and this song. It's what I need to tell my mom but she won't let me tell her what to do. It's amazing how I can talk to my mom through music.
ReplyDeleteWhat I love about this song is that it makes you want to move to the beat. Also, in the song when Serena says: "people looking for the great escape" I think that people want to leave work to play music and listen to the beat of the songs they are listening to.
ReplyDeleteI realy like this song because it goes from slow to fast and the beat is realy catchy and i also realy liked how she used made up words in the song like stompa and how she could fit it in.
ReplyDeleteI think what Serena is trying to say is that you sometimes need to calm down insted of work, work, work . Also I found it very interesting that she chose that hard beat right after the soft beat.
ReplyDeleteI really love this song it has such a great beat!
ReplyDeletethis song has a great message and thats why i like. Its all about standing up for yourself ~Ian~

I really like how the beat changes in that song. It has a very catchy rythm and beat that's easy to sing along to! When the lyrics says "All the pain that you feel I can prove it's not real" I think that line means you are really only in pain or upset or anything like that if you fully belienve that you are. ReplyDeleteI think this song was a great choice! I really think it has a good beat, i also really like the fact that all of the songs this year have not been used in previous years in S.O.R I'm really really looking forward to our music. I have one question are we doing school of rock?
ReplyDelete- Kelly :)

ReplyDeleteKurtis
Also the song has a good messege. What it tells me is when you go down get back up and clap your hands and stompa your feet. When somthing is not your way just go with and work your way in it.
